For one of the Movie which got selected in the top 5 of short film category called Kavi (2009), Guneet had to visit USA and  Guneet Monga always had a dream of attending the Oscars in America, which was a huge achievement for her, given her middle-class background. To achieve her goal, she started writing to many rich people, hoping that they could provide her with the necessary support, she mailed Richard Branson, Ratan Tata but she didn't receive any response from them. She even wrote to the President of India and got a response.

Feeling frustrated and helpless, Guneet finally met a government official, Mr. Prithviraj Chauhan, who listened to her story and offered her support. He arranged tickets and sponsorships for her trip, and also helped her secure visas for the journey. This was a significant relief for Guneet, as she had only three weeks left before the ceremony, and she had no idea about visas or who would fund her trip.

Finally, Guneet, along with her first assistant director Vikas and Kavi, the lead actor in her film, were able to travel to the US and attend the Oscars. This trip marked a significant milestone for her, as it was her first time traveling to the US, and it was made possible through the help of Mr. Chauhan and his contacts in 2009-2010.
